Joyce Bell Appointed to Clarkson City Commission

The Clarkson City Commission voted on January 9th to appoint Joyce Bell to fill the current term of the late Bob Vincent. Bob’s death last October fell too close to Election Day for the County Clerk to remove his name from ballot. His name was one of only three on the ballot for four City Commissioner seats, along with one write-in. This created a vacancy on the Commission when the new two-year term started on January 1st. Joyce previously serviced as Commissioner from 2016-2022. Following the appointment, she was sworn in by Mayor Bonnie Henderson. Welcome back Joyce!
