On August 1, 2024, the City of Clarkson officially opened the William Walker Building at Clarkson City Park for the community to rent out for functions and events. The 2,400 square foot Walker Building is conveniently located next to the Veterans Memorial at the City Park at 718 Old Leitchfield Road and has easy access to the rest of the Park. The building includes a large rental room, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and sink, as well as two bathrooms. A large, covered porch spans the front of the building, along with two fifteen-foot wooden picnic tables. Also on the porch is a garage bay door to allow for easy access between the room and the porch area during events. The area next to the Walker Building is blacktopped for handicapped parking.
Currently available for use in the William Walker Building are:
10 - 8 foot Rectangular Tables
60 plastic folding chairs
1 -18 inch wide by 72 inch long Slim Rectangular Table
Rental Rates for the William Walker Building:
The daily rental rate is $200.00. A $100.00 security deposit is also required.
Deposit is refundable if the rules are followed and facility is left neat and orderly.
Signed COVID waivers are required for all rentals. For scheduling information, please contact Clarkson City Hall.

Individuals MUST call or come by City Hall before filling out William Walker Building forms and dropping them off/mailing them with the deposit and rent money to ensure that the date being requested is available. Date availability is not guaranteed! Deposit and rental fee can only be paid via cash or check.
